UCCRN EU Hub international conference: Climate change and cities

On 3 June 2026, the Department of Architecture of the University of Naples Federico II will host the international conference “Climate Change and Cities: Bringing Science into Action”, organized by the Urban Climate Change Research Network European Hub in collaboration with the the University of Naples Federico II and Université Gustave Eiffel.

The event will bring together scholars, institutions, and international organizations to discuss integrated strategies for decarbonization and climate change adaptation, focusing on the link between scientific research, urban planning and design, and the governance of transformative processes. The program will include keynotes from international speakers, the presentation of the UCCRN Third Assessment Report on Climate Change and Cities (ARC3.3), and sessions dedicated to European and international collaborations in education, research, and the implementation of climate action in cities.

The conference will take place in a hybrid format, both in person and online. Charlotte da Cunha will participate in the afternoon round table.
