Micro 2024 Plastic pollution from macro to nano
For this 5th Edition of the International Conference MICRO 2024, we will be together in Lanzarote delighted to reconvene the Conference in person for 5 intense days: 23-27 September 2024.
In the 10 years since we launched the MICRO international Conference series, the MICRO Community has grown prodigiously.

The aim of MICRO 2024 is to celebrate the growing community of researchers and policy-makers concerned about the challenge of Plastic Pollution from macro to nano, with a core focus on microplastics as a means to:
- Facilitate open access to the breadth of emerging & ongoing research;
- Identify current research frontiers and new challenges; and
- Contribute a collaborative effort to our continuously expanding community.
When: Monday, 23 September to Friday, 27 September 2024.
Where: The island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, Spain.
Precise Location: In the Atlántida Cinema complex by the Charco de San Ginés in the heart of Arrecife.
The Calendar is clear for the road to MICRO 2024:
21 March 2024: Call for Abstracts opens for two months, closing sharp on 20 May 2024.
21 May 2024: The Scientific Committee begins the 2-week abstract review process.
5-7 June 2024: Authors receive results regarding acceptance or rejection of submitted abstracts.
20 June2024: Conference registration closes (No Conference Registration Fee).
21June 2024: Preliminary program available.
23-27 September 2024: We start MICRO 2024 with the first day of sessions, and sessions run through Friday, 27 September 2024.
