Her transdisciplinary research interests cover comparative studies of climate change, environmental changes, Indigenous Ecological Knowledge, nomadism, hunting, reindeer herding, landscape management, representations of the natural environment, shamanism, lifestyles and adaptations brought by postsocialism, and the market economy among Evenki, Even, Nanai and Yakut. She has published on social organization, rituals, the uses of space and landscape, childhood, ethnolinguistics, ecological knowledge system and environmental changes, and transdisciplinarity. She led or participated to scientific projects like DOBES, BRISK, etc.
Fluent in Evenki, also working in Even, from her first fieldwork in Eastern Siberia just after the collapse of the Soviet Union to 2022, she has conducted 13 years of fieldwork in 32 expeditions among 4 peoples in Yakutia, Amur, Kamchatka, Khabarovsk regions, and in Northern China. She now initiates field research in Fennoscandia. She has worked in diverse universities and research institutions, including in Germany (Max Planck Institute), France (EPHE, INALCO, UVSQ, Quai Branly Museum) and participated in many conferences in EU countries, Siberia, and China.
